Artist's Description
This was one of two roof spires on a beautiful glass building owned by a Kentucky based railroad company. The building was the starting point for a dinner train that traveled through the central Kentucky horse farms. It was a great addition to downtown Lexington until certain factions forced it out. It was, and is, a loss to the citizenry of Lexington. I took the photo in December of 2013.
About Mike McBrayer
My parents gave me my 1st camera when I turned 10 in 1965. It was a Kodak Instamatic 104, which I still own. My Dad had been an Air Force photographer and instilled in me my love for photography. I later took up oil painting, but my schedule for both photography and painting has been rather limited in recent years. I went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Horticulture. I worked in a wholesale greenhouse operation for 2 years and then general retail sales for 20 years. I became a small business owner of the Corner Stone II in 1999 which I closed in 2009. Today, I do part time office management as an independent contractor.
