Cumberland Falls is on the scenic Cumberland River near Corbin, KY. The 65’ high falls is 125’ wide and can expand to 300’ wide at flood stage. I took this photo of the Cumberland River Boulder just down from the falls in 1993.
My parents gave me my 1st camera when I turned 10 in 1965. It was a Kodak Instamatic 104, which I still own. My Dad had been an Air Force photographer and instilled in me my love for photography. I later took up oil painting, but my schedule for both photography and painting has been rather limited in recent years. I went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Horticulture. I worked in a wholesale greenhouse operation for 2 years and then general retail sales for 20 years. I became a small business owner of the Corner Stone II in 1999 which I closed in 2009. Today, I do part time office management as an independent contractor.
